Anne Wilson: Portable City, Notations, Wind-Up exhibition
January 21 - March 1, 2008

This particular exhibition is audience related and works with the idea of physical human scale. The creation of this exhibition was focussing on labour enhanced work which happened in the window of the Rhona Hoffman Gallery and the audience and passers by were able to watch the work become created from outside the gallery.

Errant Behaviours
(Perspectives 140: Anne Wilson, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, 1-4.04)

Errant Behaviours is a video and sound installation created as DVD projections. The work is animated and the constructed forms move to the sound of the music being played. The work is created from materials used for sewing and are small scaled which is a nice contrast from the work being displayed on projections to make the forms appear larger and and add character to the work.

Sound: Audio CD

This work is another piece with the impact of sound and audio. Wilson "developed a notational system which recorded her repetitive, rhythmic hand gestures as she crocheted and knitted her sculptures." These movements were then composed into sequences in photographs.
